The living room sets the tone upon arrival. With vaulted ceilings and an open layout, it acts as the main gathering space, welcoming family and guests to relax, reconnect, and unwind after time spent by the pool.
The living area flows effortlessly into the kitchen, reinforcing the home’s purpose as a place to host, share meals, and spend meaningful time together in this modern residential design.
Main Level
The Stevens envisioned a home where everything unfolds on a single level, allowing everyone to stay connected while enjoying the retreat. This intentional decision shaped the entire layout, making movement intuitive and spaces feel unified, comfortable, and accessible for all ages.
The home features 1,689 sq ft on the main level, a generous 2,193 sq ft garage, and an expansive 918 sq ft terrace and pool area, creating a balanced composition between indoor living spaces and outdoor enjoyment.
The kitchen is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, flooding the space with natural light and establishing a strong visual and physical connection to the outdoors. A secondary entry links directly to the terrace, while a seamless connection to the covered outdoor area enhances everyday functionality.
A built-in countertop with a servery window creates an ideal transitional space. Perfect for kids grabbing a bite in wet bathing suits before running back out to play, reinforcing the home’s casual, family-focused spirit.
Beginning a custom design from scratch came with its challenges. Through several iterations, the layout gradually evolved until the final configuration fully responded to the family’s specific needs and lifestyle, resulting in a home perfectly suited for relaxed weekends and memorable holidays.
The garage was designed with specific, multifunctional requirements in mind. Beyond accommodating cars, this versatile barn-style structure is sized to easily fit a motor home or boat, making it an essential component of the retreat lifestyle.
A kitchenette was incorporated, allowing the space to function as a true extension of the home. It pairs seamlessly with the golf simulator, creating a casual, man-cave–style environment ideal for entertainment and relaxation.
This area connects back to the villa through a dog trot and a mudroom along the main hallway, ensuring effortless circulation between recreation and living spaces, enhancing both fun and convinience.
The pool area was conceived as a destination of its own. Generous lounge seating invites long, unhurried afternoons, while an exterior shower provides a smooth transition from swimming to the nearby sauna, allowing relaxation to continue without interruption.
Accordion-paneled windows open the home to the outdoors, dissolving the boundary between the pool deck and the interior social areas, perfect for luxurious outdoor hosting, entertaining, or simply bringing nature into daily life.
After hours of poolside fun, rest becomes essential, especially when children are involved.
