CUSTOM HOMES

Modern residences shaped by distinctive lifestyles. Each design highlights a tailored approach for clients who value a highly personalized vision of contemporary living.

Casa del Prado - A modern black wooden cabin with a matching small outbuilding, set in a scenic mountain valley at sunset with rolling green hills and a stone driveway.

CASA DEL PRADO

No client signed off on this floor plan. Our own team did.

It's the one project we designed entirely on our own terms.

Casa del Prado - A modern interior space with a long wooden bar or counter set over a marble-topped island, supported by six cylindrical metallic stools. The room features dark wood-paneled walls, a concrete floor, pendant lights, and a marble backsplash.

We wanted to see how Japanese minimalism with a Scandinavian warmth could look, with nobody in the room to say no.

Concrete carries the structure. Parota and charred wood carry the warmth. Every material decision here is one we'd make again on your land.

Casa del Prado - Modern single-story house exterior with dark wood and metal roofing, large glass doors, warm interior lighting, a stone walkway, landscaped grasses, and a tree in a rural outdoor setting at sunset.

Main Level

The plan splits the house down the middle. On one end, three secondary bedrooms and the family room share their own wing, with a mudroom and the two-car garage close by.

On the other, the primary suite sits on its own, separated by the open kitchen, dining, and living room in between.

Outside, a terrace runs the full length of the house, with an outdoor dining area, a fire pit, and a pool.

Casa del Prado - A modern dining room with a dark wood ceiling and built-in shelving, featuring a round wooden dining table surrounded by upholstered chairs. A large cluster chandelier hangs above, and a green framed artwork is mounted on the wall.

The table seats eight under a cluster of hand-blown glass pendants, right at the hinge point between the kitchen and the living room.

A dinner conversation never has to stop just because someone got up for more wine.

Isolation was the goal for the site, never for the table.

Casa del Prado - A modern, high-ceilinged living room with dark wood-paneled walls and ceiling, featuring a large sectional sofa, ottomans, a coffee table, built-in shelving, and a fireplace.

In the living room, we sized the sectional to fit eight people comfortably and turned the fireplace to face the seating instead of the terrace behind it.

A small decision that changes how the whole room gets used on a cold night.

Casa del Prado - A luxury modern bedroom featuring a large bed with sage green and beige bedding, set in a spacious room with dark wood-paneled walls and ceiling, a circular concrete floor, and a sculptural illuminated pendant light.

The primary suite sits on the opposite end of the house, far enough that neither side hears the other.

A walk-in closet sits behind the bed instead of beside it, and we kept the bathroom separate from the closet on purpose, so two people can get ready at once without crossing paths. Step outside and there's a private terrace with its own Japanese soaking tub, visible from nowhere else on the property.

Casa del Prado - Modern black wood chalet with a stone paved driveway and landscaped grounds under a dramatic cloudy sky.

The exterior goes almost fully dark on purpose: charred wood siding under a low black roofline.

We sized the two-car garage for now, leaving room on the plan to grow if the property ever asks for more.

Casa del Prado is an idea from our drafting table. No lot, no city, no client's name attached to it yet.
